For those who know me, you understand my desire to explore other countries to get a deeper understanding of the beautiful plant knowledge and herbal remedies of other places in the world. It is a privilege to be of service to myself and my community as I grow as an herbalist and skin care formulator.
The abundance of beauty and rich healing is prevalent in Costa Rica. The people are loving and accepting. The food is real and nutritious. The herbs just grow in the front yards of the people, and I imagine one day soon having the same on my own land. The moisture levels here are unlike anything I have ever experienced, and the water just flows down the street and comes from out of the ground and the various waterways.
The rainforest is the region that I most resonate with and feel deeply connected to as a water sign. It truly is a magical place that makes everything flow like water. I enjoy the pace of the pulse and the fluidity of joy that you can easily embody here. I have seen things that I have never seen before, heard sounds that I have never heard before and tasted things I have never tasted before.
Essentially, the meaning of Pura Vida is Pure Life or simple life. This has a lot to do with the culture of Costa Rica and the attitude of the Ticos. The Costa Rican people tend to be much more relaxed and worry free. There really is no need to worry when you are in paradise. Pura Vida is both a greeting and a goodbye, an answer to the question, “How are you?” and an expression uttered—perhaps shouted—at joyous occasions.
Traveling for me is a form of my self-care. The innate need of exploration and experiencing new things, people, places is being fed with each trip and my evolution is a direct reflection of the choice. Going deep into receiving mode and replenishing myself and the brand as I further my travels and wisdom. I am beginning to feel more like how I desire to feel.
